Board of Directors

Tyler Cureton
Board President and Treasurer

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and an MBA from Duke University, Tyler brings financial leadership and a strong business background to the MEE board. Tyler is an active Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland and has extensive experience with both private and public entities. His commitment to education led him to the classroom where he teaches Accounting at a local Community College. His passion for working with the next generation led him to be a volunteer basketball coach and faith-based youth leader. Tyler developed an interest in the outdoors at an early age when he became an Eagle Scout. He and his family are excited about an upcoming move where they plan to create a home-based garden and implement farming best practices and proper composting.

Jenn Smith
Secretary

Jenn joined MEE with experience as a successful small business owner.   As the owner of The Johnsville Auction House, she’s developed strong relationships in the community, and an aptitude for social media marketing.   As a long-time resident, she is proud to be part of Frederick County’s strong agriculture heritage. She raises Dairy Goats and is in the beginning stages of using their milk to make soap and lotion. Her daughter is currently in the Frederick County 4-H program and shows the goats at local fairs. As a homeowner, she installed what at the time of its 2016 installation, was the 2nd largest solar panel array in the State of Maryland.
